Another successful TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) procedure was performed at Euroclinic Athens, demonstrating the continuous evolution of interventional cardiology.
The patient, an 81-year-old hypertensive woman with a tricuspid aortic valve, underwent transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) with a Hydra 26mm valve (SMT). Right femoral access was utilized, and predilatation was performed using a 20mm Cristal Balloon (Balt) to ensure optimal procedural success.
Led by Dr. Andreas Synetos (Hippocrateion Hospital – Euroclinic), this case highlights the dedication of healthcare professionals to providing state-of-the-art solutions for structural heart disease with minimally invasive techniques.
A special thanks to Alfonso Ielasi for his valuable contribution.
