 Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a widespread, often silent problem for implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) patients, occurring at an annual incidence of nearly 21%. Unfortunately, it is difficult or even impossible to detect with a standard, single-chamber ICD.
