We are proud and deeply moved to announce our official sponsorship of Dimitris Karipidis, a Paralympic swimmer whose life story is not just one of athletic excellence—but of resilience, courage, and the power of never giving up.
Dimitris was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare condition that has caused him to endure over 100 fractures and 50+ surgeries since childhood. Growing up, he was told what he couldn’t do. But he chose to focus on what he could.
In 2012, he took to the water—and never looked back. Swimming became his way of defying gravity and limits. Since then, he has proudly represented Greece in three Paralympic Games (Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024), consistently ranking among the world’s best in his category. He is a multiple-time World and European medalist, and a national champion with more than 50 gold medals.
But what makes Dimitris truly exceptional is not just his medal count. It’s his message:
“If I wasn’t born with a disability, I wouldn’t have lived the life I did. Every scar tells a story of strength.”
At Kalteq, we believe in supporting those who challenge the status quo—and inspire others to do the same. Dimitris is more than an athlete; he’s a symbol of hope, perseverance, and quiet heroism. We are honored to walk beside him on his path forward.
Here’s to the races ahead, the records yet to be broken, and the lives touched along the way.
Welcome, Dimitris. We’re with you—stroke by stroke. 🫶
